yeah couldn't fault it for the price we paid. i thought it was going to be a right dump pleasntly suprised. god knows where some people have stayed with there bad reviews. think they will spend pennies & get the Ritz i'm sure.

i luv sharm will defo be going back after maldives next year for some winter sun i think. might try a more luxurious hotel though if i have the money if not wouldn't hesitate to go back here

Hi, as you said ask any questions and you will give an honest answer. Well we go to Baron Palms Resort beginning of December and was wondering about the £13 visa stamp on arrival, do I pay for it or not. Never been to Egypt before so not sure whats out and about to visit. How far away is Cairo? We are not into boat trips etc but normally like to have a day trip out or half a day. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

if your staying in sinai (sharm) you don't need to get a visa.

cairo is about 45 mins to an hour flight away.

you go there to see the pryaminds by plane is over £100 each by coach can take up to 24 hours but is around the 40 english pound mark i think.

didn't do this though as was only there for a week.

there are excursions you can go on, if you don't fancy boat trips, you could to quads, camel riding, fantastic 4 which i think is camel riding, snorkelling, lunch & something else. you could go to cathrines monastry i think it was, star gazing. you will hear all about these excusions when you get there but if you don't want boat excursrions there are still pleanty of others to do.

hope this helps x
