We booked instore with Thomas Cook, they never said anything at the time about booking but it is mentioned on our booking confirmation. Also says this on the website when getting a quote:

If your booking includes a flight, you must provide us with advanced passenger information between 3 months and 7 days before departure. submit data by visiting the website: www.thomascookapi.com. you will need passport details of all travellers in your party and flight details. failure to comply with all above requirements may result in delays, refused boarding or denied entry to your destination.

It's no big deal - we booked with Thomson online and then just clicked on the api link they sent us and entered passport info for each person. Lots of airlines do it - Ryan Air to Spain for example. It only takes a few minutes.

We booked a Thomson Cruise and stay through Thomas Cook departing on 25th February - APL was not mentioned at any time but we picked up our tickets on Saturday and inside the booklet in small (red) print it asks for this information and gives a web address and booking ref number. Completed this information yesterday - just asks for full names and passport info. Very easy to complete but could easily have been missed.

hi

we are flying with JET2 from Leeds in March and we have had to enter our passport details in advance onto the website or the warning is we wont be allowed to fly. Its no big deal and easy to do but speak to your travel agent because the JET 2 website insists on it being done!!!!

It was in the information pack we got with our tickets from First Choice a couple of weeks ago - we had to go on the Thomsons site as we are flying with them and record passport details etc there - no problems
