Having arranged two weddings abroad, I would go direct to travel agents - then you could enquire direct to the hotel if you wanted. I think I would recommend booking via travel agents to ease any stress as they can iron out any problems or requests for you.

As far as I'm aware you can't actually get married in Sharm, you've got to go to Cairo. Although they could get married here and have some sort of blessing in Sharm.

It is long and difficult to get married in Cairo which after much paper stamping and trailing round offices is only a civil ceremony unless you are Muslim.

Sharm hotels may put on some sort of ceremony for you but it will be all done by the hotel staff, waiters & receptionists...really just for show & a bit of fun. It has no religious or legal significance.

You could certainly have the marriage blessed in Sharm, there is a beautiful church in Hadaba/Ras Um El Sid, it's called St George's Church, if you'd like to pics of it send me your email address by the pm system.

I have to say the Jolie Ville Casino isn't my favourite hotel, I was really disappointed when I stayed there. It was very noisy and the rooms needed refurbishing. I stay at the Maritim Jolie Ville Golf, the sister hotel and there's no comparison. There are beautiful grounds there and the rooms are very spacious and well appointed (pics under my profile) It's only 10 mins from Naama Bay by courtesy bus/taxi, it hassuper restaurants and the snorkelling is great. I'm sure they would organise a blessing there and there are many very picturesque areas for this.

My friend had a blessing at the SUNRISE Diamond. (They married in Cairo first but he is a Muslim.) They had it on the rooftop terrace late afternoon/evening and it was lovely.

Hi,

My partner and I are also looking to get married in Sharm el Sheikh in May 2013, and came across this forum. We have contacted several hotels and are flying out end of August to check them out. I think we might have to get married in a register office in the UK and then have a blessing and celebration in Sharm. Be good if we could share information on venues. My partner is Egyptian and I am British.

i was due to get married in egypt this year, being october 2012, unfortunately we were stung with the problem of being unable to get any vicar/ priest to conduct the ceremony. we do have friends in luxor, swiss, cairo and sharm. but unfortunately even with there knowledge we still could not do this. we would have to go to cairo get some paperwork and sign it, the 2nd day take it the the embassy and get this stamped. then a day later take it somewhere else. then get married in cairo, erm no way with the political unrest plus cairo is not somewhere i wanted to get married. it is a very over populated city and i wanted a quiet wedding with friends and family. once married you then have to spend around 5days for the paperwork collect from cairo and then enjoy your time of your holiday. so overall you would spend around 3-4 days getting all the relevent paperwork, and if you are not as fortunate as us to have egyptian friends to translate the main paperwork forms.. you are going to hit a very hard rock! it is not easy to do overthere. we even contemplated getting paperwork from uk going to registry office and then having the blessing straight away in Egypt. but finding not only a church but also the person to do this for you, is difficult. we were told to get a friend or relative to do our blessing.this i did not want to happen. so we did everything in the UK and then had our honeymoon in Egypt. if you do decide to have a blessing, goodluck with it all, but i would not like to think you are spending much time of your holiday/honeymoon/wedding time arranging this when you should be enjoying your day. we weny over in may 2011 to complete all the relevent documents to get married in egypt. but this fell through and was deeply upset. this is just my experience and i'm interested to hear from people that have managed asboth parties being uk citizens, as to how they managed this and what they thought ...
