Naama Bay or Nabq Bay

Hi

Please can somebody help! :-)

Its our first time to Egypt this September and i am really =struggling to decide where to stay!

We were going to book Tropitel Naama Bay in Naama Bay but cant decide whether to go to Nabq Bay!

Which is the best resort? We dont want to have to get taxis all the time but would like to venture out of the hotel on an evening to vist bars etc within walking distance, can anybody reccomend which would be best and anywhere nice to stay?

We like it quite lively but not into nightclubs etc just like pubs etc and shops rather than sitting at the hotel all the time!

Many thanks

If you are looking for bars you are best staying in Naama. Nabq has a few bars (mainly spread out), but certainly not 'lively'. I can't recommend any hotels in Naama, I am sure someone else can, I stay in an apartment in Nabq - I like the quieter life there, but do use the car / public transport to get the Naama for a more lively time! :) It takes a good 20 mins to travel between them both by taxi.

personally i would say naama bay but not on the outskirts, then you have the best of both worlds, if you do go nabq bay then make sure the hotel is in walking distance, we was at the cleopatra, thinking it was walking distance and tho it is a gorgeous hotel it's not a nice walk anywhere, there are hotels nearer in that area but not sure what ones

at least if you want a quieter night you can stay in and go out if you want something more lively, personally i would only go naama bay again as i find nabq and sharks bay too quiet

we stayed at Iberotel Lido in March this year and are going back in November, it is a small hotel but very friendly and a great location, only 5 mins walk from one of the 'strips' in naama bay.

Any questions just ask.

We stay at the Sonesta Beach and casino, easy 10 mins walk into naama bay, its the last hotel on the promenade.
