at the risk of sounding stupid!!

Hi guys. Its our first time in egypt and we have both eygption pound but was wondering with all the European visiters do they accept euros too ? Juat asking as I have some left over from spain

Yes they love £ $ and € notes.

Its just Scottish notes they won't accept.

Foreign coins aren't really any good as they can't change them into notes easily.

I never change money into Egyptian pounds... They take euros, US dollars etc...

The exchange rate for sterling to Egyptian pounds is very good at the moment. With sterling or other currencies they will rip you off as they can charge their own exchange rate.....

Change your money at the Cash ATM machines in Sharm and you will get around 12 EP to our £1

DO NOT USE any kind of coins , because simply in Egypt we can not exchange coins into Egyptian pounds , it must be notes
