El Quesir

Planning a trip to Luxor for a week , and as I must get in some swimming and snorkling , we have decided to go across to El Quesir, to stay at the Movenpick for our second week,

We like the fact that the town has some history and more of a "local" feel. Can anyone recommend this area , can we eat out for example? and will the weather be decent in February?

We usually holiday on the Red Sea in December so don't expect it to be roasting hot!

Try to ask this question on Hurghada forum. El Qousair is a small town. There will be some places to eat etc., but don't expect a variety of choice.
