Will be on holiday in Taba for two weeks from Aug 17th and have just realised that this will be during part of Ramadam. Interested to know the effects, if any, Ramadam will have on us during our stay, ie any restrictions eating/drinking, etc in resort.

Many thanks for your advice.

Very few restrictions actually...most places open as normal because without the tourist theres no livelihood to be made.

It is very interesting to see a resuaurant full of locals at this time. Just before sundown they bring all the plates out to the customers wrapped in foil, and they all sit there patiently waiting. When the pprayer tower sings they all open them up and start eating. I've never seen anything quite like it before!
