Safari Island Lodge

I totally agree with all people complaining about that place. Nothing, absolutely nothing is good there. Please don´t belive the pictures they advertise with. You won´t find them in reality. I also want to highlight that paying in advance is the worst thing you can do with regard to that resort. When you arrive there you will realize that everything is totally yack and run-down. Also the beach shouldnt deemed to be a beach. Diving was just average and the manager of that resort is one of the biggest idiots I have ever met. Please don´t trust him. He is a liar and he gets angry very, very easily! His mother hasn´t told him how to speak to others, either. That guy is definitely one of that type you´d better try to avoid.

There are so many beautiful spots on Fijii that there really is no use going to such a shabby and boring place like Safari Island Lodge.

Are you serious.!!!!

The place is almost NEW!, and being conatantly improved! Nothing shabby at all about this place at all. The beach is great, but remeber it is on the winward side of the island as to facilitate the wind orientated sports.

There has been an underwater erruption around Tonga and as a result ther is a fair amount of pumice around - its the tropics man!!!.

The staff and the owner are great hosts (what did you do to make him angry-it would take alot) with a great sense of humor and honest even shouts a beer every now and then. Not the person you described at all.

I can't comment about the diving (i'm not a diver) but the snorkeling was good on the outer reef .

I think your expectations must be way off reality.

I had a great time and wil definately go again!!!!!

In October, we just stopped in the Safari Lodge for a day of windsurfing (did not stay overnight). The beach was pretty and very clean. The "lodge" looked new and well-kept. This lodge is definitely the owners' home too, so you are sharing space with their family, which is fine for dormitory style accommodations. We had a tasty, albeit expensive sandwich.

We talked to the other guests, who seemed to enjoy the accommodations. One group were on return visit, which always says something.

Hi

I spent 5 days at safari lodge and absolutely loved it...one of the greatest places i've been to in fiji...i didn't dive but two guests i met there seemed to like the diving as they were out every day...

i don't know what problem handBerlin has with warren ( the owner of safari lodge) but he is a really fun guy!!! Couldn't imagine him being angry...

I'm honestly thinking about going back soon and take some kitesurfing lessons there..

and they offer so many other activities, such as snorkelling, kayaking, hiking, windsurfing, kitesurfing, wakeboarding, fishing(???boring place???)

i'm sure there are many people out there that loved the place as much as I did..
