My son wants us to look for watches while we are in Calangute. Want something decent but don't fancy trudging around for hours on end.
Was hoping someone could point us in the right direction.
Many thanks

There are street stalls selling all kinds of watches, just not sure of the quality...
Thanks for reply did buy one a few years ago from Candolim in a shop that also sells bags( forgot name of shop) lasted for a few years but sadly when we went back to buy another they had stopped selling them.
We were recommended to try a shop in Mapsa but any ideas 💡 or thoughts would be great
I am sure someone will point you in the right direction when they all get out of bed.. Lol
Its not something I would buy in Goa... We get ours from Turkey...
There is a small shop on the left side of road just before heading into Candolim coming from Calangute, that repairs Rolex watches. He may be able to help point out the best shops...
Hi. I have been collecting vintage Watches over 30 year's. As you must realise most watches in India are fakes.
But are very good fakes. If you bye them from a bag , watches shop. There is one by the Magnam resorts next door to the Elephant shop. It takes a good man to tell the difference. Bye one if you want, it will last you a number of years but when it packs in throw it away, Because if you take it to the dealer of the fake make. they will confiscate it as its illegal. The only ones that are genuinely right are the Indian makes. Avoid the man that Glyn mentions he is a good watch repair and is a nice man, but I have had dealings with him. And know a bit about watches. M K,
I bought myself a Titan watch and love it. It was about 4 years ago. Keeps perfect time and a bit unusual. They had a great variety.
I paid £70 because I am worth it.
Sounds perfect . Roughly how much will one cost? Thank you
My old Seiko watch packed up whilst in Goa a few years ago and looking for a genuine replacement rather than a copy found them not particularly good value so got a Titan as a temporary measure, not a bad watch and cost less than £20 still going although only wear it on tha odd occasion
Hi Titan is the make. I should have mentioned in my early post. I think they are Indian make they look very good
Go for a Titan I think you will be OK. MK.
Glimpses of India in Candolim has a good range of upmarket watches. Can't guarantee they are genuine though.
Thought everything in Goa was genuine Ned... 😉😉😉😉
