Mobile Phones

There's been plenty of advice about airtel sim cards etc, but has anybody found any cheap phones to buy while you are out there?

Can you get them unlocked or is it cheaper/better to get it done back home?

They have definitely got cheaper here in the last 18 months. For instance, you can get a Samsung phone that is waterproof/dustproof for approx £60,they are ideal for out here.

You can get cheap Nokias her from around 1200 Rs/- I think, they're good 'useful' standard phones, with light which definitely helps out here... Good to keep for all your holiday trips...
