Hi and welcome to the Goa forum :-).......it depends on how much shopping the other half does ;-) £1000 should be more than enough and you will need nothing like that for food and drinks......off to find an online menu that will give you a rough idea on food and drink costs.....back in a minute ;-)

Hi

Unless you spend spend spend YES it should be ample BUT as things seem cheap compared to the UK keep an eye on things so as not to be "stupid" Check what Taxi fares should be as taxis can rip you off and as for trips check the prices first then see if a taxi would be cheaper. These and many more Tips are available from many TA forum members so do your home work first and then enjoy your stay

We'll probably take 1000 pounds between us when we go at the end of January. We spent about 700 last year but I always like to have a bit extra, plus the exchange rate has dropped since last year. If you don't spend it all you can always bring it home and put it towards your next holiday :-)

the prices are pretty much the same although you will find some more expensive restaurants in most area's as well. Remember though to haggle when shopping and as Bruahy said be careful with the taxi's ;-)

North Goa is pretty much the same, as most tourist places if you go inland a bit or to a town it is cheaper, but you can't beat eating and drinking by the sea.
