Everything ok out here in Candolim. Opening hours now going to be 10 from 22nd unless they change their mind again. Few dogs no more than last year. All docile as ever. Wife still got her bag..lol Prices only slightly higher than last year. Nothing to worry about at all. Have a good holiday everyone , we are.

I thought I read other posts that opening times had now been relaxed and all eateries were now allowed to open to whatever time, but the sale of liquer is restricted at ten o'clock. Getting really confused now. Going on 23rd feb for 2 weeks, so this is really going to affect us big time. As it stands now, out of the hol we have only one nite out with no restrictions on the 7th so really gutted as saved all year for this holiday. Not saying we won't enjoy it at all, but when u go on hols u wanna let ur hair down a bit not looking over your shoulder just in case police are watching u taking sneaky drinks from your doctored water bottle. Was really looking forward to a dance in mambos. Oh well.

Hi Keith and Paula. They were strict with 11 o'clock closing on the couple of days it was on. All had different rules some had last orders at 10.30. Most had a notice up with their rules. Managed to find bar that let you get a couple of drinks each at 11 and then put shutters down and give an hour to drink up. Plenty of drink in supermarkets, stopped selling 15 mins before dead line.

Rules only relate to eateries until 11pm, for the period until the 22nd, biggest problem currently and in near future will be the supply of liquor, as its not being inported into the state.

Was in a couple of places over the weekend considering increasing their prices to cover their losses.

Yes drink in supermarkets at the moment, but saw one shop in Calangute charging 50 rupees for bottles of bud.
