Go straight across the road from the Ronil and down Titos lane. Go to the bottom of the lane by the beach and follow the road around to the left. It will take you slightly away from the main hubble of Baga.

I have used and will be using again in March the Oceanic Shack which was about the 2/3 one from the end of the little row.

This is still fairly busy but well away from the speed boats/jet-skis and other noisy pollutants that now adorn Baga creek

Alternatively, turn left out of your hotel and walk up the road for a couple of minutes to what is known as CSM road. Walk down to the bottom and through the grounds of the CSM hotel on to the beach. There you'll find a number of good shacks that are fairly quiet like Big Banana, Bobby's Bosco's.

Hi mate,

The beach is large and the shacks are plentiful so there's plenty of room.

it's manic over the New year period but quietens down a lot a day or two later .

On weekends it's busier with local and domestic tourists - but not that bad, a lot of Indians don't use the shacks anyway so just lay on your sunbed & watch the Indian men (grown men!) running around in their Y fronts and chucking wet sand at each other !!!!

We started using Cafe-Del-Mar shack last season, brand new with proper toilets & showers, I would recommend.

We fly out next Monday & stopping in Ronil,

Hope this helps

Agree there bindoo, we used Big Banana season before last but didn't find them quite as good last season! However, Boscos was always good, IMHO.

Another great part of the beach as this area that we are describing is between the two main Baga / Calangute busy areas and so whilst it is sort of busy, nowhere near that of Baga and Calangute.

Calangute last Holi.....OMG! You couldn't move on the beach for people!

due to the vast number of restuarants you will always be able to find a quiet one a even though baga is crazy it is totaly different than benidorm or blackpool

you couldn't sit and watch the kayos in blackpool for hours but it is seriously entertaining at the end of titoes on a friday and saterday night

efc... In all honesty, get yourselves down to the beach via Titos Lane and get onto the sand. Start walking off to your left and find a shack you like the look of.

Tip to a good shack....it's busy!

Most have flushing "British" style toilets and all have washbasins of sorts. They will all look after you brilliantly.

IMHO, don't visit the ones where nobody is at. There's usually a good reason for it....unless you are on the beach very early morning. There is no fight for sunbeds and so will get one without any problems.

if you sit in a shack and you don't like it...then leave and visit the one next door or two doors down or try them all, there are hundreds to choose from!!

You will find one you like and become "loyal" to it.

I agree we always turn left at the bottom of Titos road loads of great places to eat and drink or as Bindoobaba said left out of the hotel and down CSM road and dont forget a bevvy at KCs bar and say hello to Charlie. Great brekkies at Bernards here too facing the bar.

Love how we're all totally different. Stalex and Iain, have a walk along to the creek end think you'll be surprised. There are only 9 shacks now - it's a lot less busy this season than ever before. Just busy with domestic tourists at weekends. I've always preferred that end, horses, courses n all that. Rie
