Panic up in Anjuna and Arambol as the hukka pipe ban comes into effect!! Lol. Although the smoking ban is already in place (A £2.30 fine is not going to deter most people) I think the majority of smokers ignore it at least going by what I have seen in the last couple of season and still treat the beaches like ashtrays! Oh and by the way I am a responsible and considerate smoker.

The local bar I use has a no smoking sign just above the shelf where they keep the ashtrays.

What I think( or anybody else) is nither here nor there, as it is the law. If people do not obey it , be prepared to take what comes.

I intend to sit back and watch the fun if it all kicks of. Better than the tele!!.

The last line of the Herald report is interesting. I wonder how they are going to enforce the gutka (betel-nut) ban on the beach... cannot see the cops asking everyone to "open wide please"
