I thought I did, but I must have deleted it. I'll ask around and see if anyone knows anything.

The only one I had to thank Ruben for a truly wonderful day was ruben_goa@sancharnet.in What a place and what brilliant hosts he and his wife Celia are.

That's the only one I have as well Stalex. I loved it there. Really different, and really different food as well. I believe she is something like a biochemist. I can't remember what he did before they bought the Palacio.

Thanks so much for your replies. I have the underscore missing, and yes it was from trip advisor reviews I stumbled across this place, which looks fab, right up my street. We are visiting Goa in November and I want to go there but dont know if it has to be an organised tour or if we can book by e-mail.

Thanks very much again.

Wonderful couple, I had the best bebinca *ever*. And what a fabulous house, and so lovingly restored.

You should be able to book by email, or by phone. They really are a lovely couple. Nice kids too!!

Deepa - bebinca is off my radar these days because of high cholesterol. A friend used to make one for us to bring home and it was absolutely fab. Heaven knows what it did to my arteries!

Its a traditional Goan dessert with lots of sugar, ghee and coconut milk. So its a once only in a holiday dessert!! Lol
