Visa application - mistake or not??

Hi guys

Ive just completed my india visa application.

I have one concern - in the first section it asks for place of birth town/city. i put London but my passport says Leytonstone (which is an area in east London). should I have put Leytonstone instead of London? I was concerned it wouldnt be classed as a town or city which is why I put London but on the printed form it say 'as in passport'. I havent made a payment yet so should i redo the application form or is there no need??

any advice would be a great help as we need to post it today to try and get it back in time before my boyfriend goes skiing!

thanks!!

@kara i made exactly the same mistake last year, i had paid though so i just neatly amended it on the printed out form and it went through no problems.

however, if you haven't paid or got any further I think the best advice would be to do it again online rather than risk it being returned.

Sasha - I would re-do and put whatever it says in your passport.

KaraMiddlesbrough - if you haven't paid online yet, scrap the application and start a new one.

Good luck to you both ;-)
