Calangute is a bit manic and the beach is not great. I'd go to Candolim.

Amit

lots of hotels in Candolim within walking distance of the beach.

What is your budget, how many people and when are you planning to visit as prices may be different if you go out of the main season (Nov - April)?

Thanks everyone...

We are 2 families total 6 (4 Adults & 2 Kids) planning to visit in either April or June. Our hotel budget is around Rs. 3000 per night per family with breakfast. We need good Air-Con hotel with pool within walking distance from beach. Please some names....

Thanks...

Stay away from Baga and Calangute as too much traffic to walk with children.

Amit

you can check out the reviews for hotels in Candolim in the link below and also see if there is availability for your dates and prices:

tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotels-g297605-Candolim_Ba…

There's also a tab for B&Bs and also 'speciality lodging' - I noticed Albuquerque Holiday Villas under there - they have good reviews but not sure if the price is OK for you.

Some friends of ours have taken over the Ginger Tree in Candolim (near the football ground) - that looks nice.
