I agree,but a lot of hotels are now quoting in pound sterling and not Rupee's to get around the currency fluctuations.
Sorry if i sound thick but how would i go about paying for my room in rupee's now where do i start.

Because you are getting more Rupees for your pound it makes everything you buy a little cheaper. For example, for every hundred pound you spend you're getting around 9,400 Rupees, if the Rupee dropped to say 85 to the pound then for every hundred pound you would get 8,500 Rupees.
