JBR: Monsoon in Goa and South Maharashtra (Konkan) - Part 2

South Maharashtra and Goa were absolutely wonderful this July-August. The rains took a breather just then. I was lucky! It was as if somebody, somewhere had planned it all out.

Continuing from Part 1, here is Part 2:

Shiroda to Panaji at 10:30 AM

For those who missed Part 1, here it is:

Thank you for reading!

Happy travels, whenever and wherever you are trevelling to now or shortly.

Hi Jyoti,

Love reading your blogs and really must try and get out to Goa during the monsoon at least once just to see all that beautiful green scenery.

Keep them coming.

Thanks,

Phil.

Greetings, Folks!

Thanks for your responses. It is nice to see that I've been able to provide a small glimpse of North Goa and South Maharashtra during the off season. However, I do understand your worry about travelling during the Monsoon season. While I am 1 hour away by flight or 10 hours away by bus, many of you are several thousands of km away, and several hundred Dollars or Euros or Pounds away! So the apprehension of being stuck in incessant rain is understandable, of where there tends to be a slim chance.

@Gel: Thanks for guessing rightly that Junior's photography skills have rubbed off on me. True. He has won a few honourable mentions for photos clicked in Goa and Kenya! Poor chap, he was busy writing mid-term exams while I was at my school Old Boy's meet in Goa.

@Mulzy: Robert has three dogs in his shack, and two dogs and two cats in his home, which is an oasis of calm, a lovely old home set within the trees behind Souza Lobo. No more Goa installments this time! My next two posts will be about Kerala. I've been to Kerala lately on teaching assignments, and took a day off each at Fort Kochi and somewhere in the middle of nowhere near Varkala. :)
