We have travelled in Goa since 1997 and have seen many changes, the north is now exceptionally busy. We have friends who have always stayed north but last year was to much for them and they have book for Cavelossim this January. We would say South everytime but it depends on what you want .

We went to Candolim last year (1st time to India) for a week or so and quite enjoyed it. The beach was peaceful enough. A short walk to town for dinner in the evening. All very pleasant.

We were considering going south this year. Possibly Colva. How does Cavelossim compare to these two?

We don't want a bouncing, noisy resort. To put things in perspective, we took a taxi to Calangute one evening. Stayed for an hour....

It would be south for me. Cavelossim is just right for us as there's enough going on and enough choice of shacks and restaurants for you to try a different one every night in a fortnight. It's quieter than Candolim and much much quieter than Calangute.
