Varca Beach

Hi, Im going to Goa 1st March for 4 weeks. Last year stayed at the Haathi Mahal in Cavellossim but this time staying in apartment near Varca Beach. Can anyone recommend any good restaurants to use and which are the best beach shacks. Can't seem to find much information on Varca think we may be not far from the Ramada. Wondered if there are any supermarkets or chemists nearby?

The beach at Varca spreads along and is hard to get to as there is no main road. We like Glorios shack, it's set amongst the palm trees so you get natural shade. We will be there in March too. I suggest you just explore as there are lots spread out . Much quieter that where the Haathi us so don't expect the same number of shacks and restaurants, there are quite a few but as I said they are spread out.

We sometimes walk along the beach from Cavelossim and have stopped at Sea Pearls on Varca beach a few times. The food is excellent. My partner says their chips are the best he's ever tasted in Goa and they do a lovely tuna salad as well as a good selection of other dishes.

There is a pharmacy and two or three supermarkety type shops in Varca, including Home Stores (think that's what it's called) that sells EVERYTHING.

We stayed in Varca last year and thought the same but when you start to explore there are lots of places tucked away. There is a new supermarket on the corner as you head out of Varca towards Cavelossim which sells pretty much everything plus a Shop,n,save a bit farther on.

It's not far to Benaulim, which is where we stay and there are lots of restaurants there so worth a trip.A bit further on is Colva again worth a visit. Lots of stalls, shops etc there.
