road from mumbai to gir

Planning to drive from mumbai to gir with one over night hault. The road suggested by the resort was vadodra- tarapur- bagodra- limbdi-rajkot- jetpur- junagad - gir with google maps this comes to 865 kms and other is mum- ahmedabad-rakjot- jet-juna-gir. This comes to 916 kms . Which is the better option ? Also confused about the night hault. Shd I take the first rout and halt at limbdi or rajkot or shd I just take the second rout and stay at ahmedbad .

Thanks

vadodra- tarapur- bagodra- limbdi-rajkot- jetpur- junagad - gir would be a better route. You can stop at Baroda, which would be after about 6 to 7 hours drive. If you take the second route you will have to drive for more than 10 hours to reach Ahmedabad.
