trip to manali in feb 2012 for honeymoon

hi , my name is Dr.rizwan . We are 2 couples planning 10 days trip to manali in first week of feb. It doesnt matter if there are not more tourist spots over there .

We just want to spent 10 PEACEFUL days with our loved ones and away from the hectic schedule and crowded life at a beautiful natutal place with pleasant climate ?

So. is manali a good idea ? HOW WILL BE THE CLIMATE OF MANALI IN FEB 2012 ?

Or we should look for some other place ? WE HAVE LOVAVALA ALSO IN THE OPTION ?

WHAT DO U SUGGEST ?????

Dr.rizwan

Manali will be snowland in February. If you love snow amidst serene nature, you must come to Manali. Although, 10 days sounds a bit longer. Since you are from Gujarat, the chilling climate (-5 degC at night) might be uncomfortable for such a long duration. You can do 3 days in Chail or Parwanoo and 4 days in Manali.

I had been in Lonavala (Khandala), its best in September-October, just after monsoon. Lonavala - Matheran are nice place too.

Manali in February will be beautiful with snow all over! If you don't mind sub zero temperatures, this will be one of the best times to see Manali if you love snow. I have been there a few times in Jan, Feb and it was awesome!Dont miss paragliding in Solan valley(if it is not snow clad) and skiing in Gulaba.

Manali is beautiful in February, covered in snow it gives you ethereal feel. You will get the best of rates in Manali at this time since it is off season. There will be really very few tourists, so you can enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the place. Its perfect for couples and you can try out all the winter activities as well.

You could probably split your stay. Stay at Dalhousie for a 5 days and then head to Manali. Try to stay in Old Manali, that is where all the great restaurants are located. If you want budget accommodation stay at Drifter's Inn (take a look at the review) which has won the travelers choice award from trip advisor or if you want to splurge try our Johnson's Lodge or Mayflower Resort. These wooden resorts are stunning and have great restaurants too. Have a great trip.
