Manali trip in Mid August

We are planning a Trip (4D/3N) to Manali in Mid of August by Bus. Please suggest:

Good Hotel in Manali as I have read in forum to avoid river side hotels. Is Mountain Side Hotel right choice?

Weather in August?

We also want to visit parasher lake?What are tariff from Manali?

Please suggest what are good places to visit in Manali .

May try Apple Country Resort, Honeymoon Inn. Mid August is likely to be rainy. Prashar Lake is 48 kms from Mandi, but that takes more than 3 hours to reach. The road after village Baggi is not very friendly. This is not suggested in monsoon.

As this is off season so , should we book hotel in advance or after reaching there.

Hotels can be chosen on spot. Since August is peak of monsoon, there is every chance of rain, if the intensity of rain is high, outdoor activity might get affected.
