If possible, make it after mid March. Weather will be friendly from that time. Now the valley full of snow in January, temp 7-8 degC/minus 2-3 degC. The gardens would be under maintenance. Only centrally heated hotels should be chosen for stay.

Hello ash k

I'm Agree With Mr.Ashish Roy. on timing to visit kashmir.because in month of jan temp of kashmir valley could be very low. and if childrens with you to kashmir tour . so i would like to suggest delay your tour to between end of fab to march. at that time you find best temp in kashmir valley.

and some gardens and fountains could be opened for tourist in month of march . and in month of march spring season comes in kashmir valley and kashmir valley turned into green color of nature. so if you plan your to end of fab to march this is the best time to visit kashmir.

if you want to enjoy snow you can visit gulmarg and enjoy most famous ride gandola .
