First time in India, Kerala and Karnataka

In November we want to travel to Southindia. We have no experience in India. We are interested in wildlife , landscape , backwaters and the most important places in southwest India. We would like to take a car with driver . we have 3 or 4 weeks time and at the end we would like to go for diving for some days.

Can anybody give me some suggestions for this trip?

Thank you very much

You could look at

Chennai - Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry/Auroville - Chennai as the first week to 8 days

Mahabalipuram is a temple town, Pondicherry a former French colony by the sea.

From Chennai take a train to Kerala for the second leg of your trip

Chennai to Varkala - which a spectacular beach

Trivandrum - Cochin - Munnar - Thekaddy - Kumarakom (back waters)

Then spend some time in North Kerala the wayanand district for wildlife.

You could go to Laskwadeep for diving .. Lacadive ... but getting there would be expensive.

Good luck with your trip.
