chennai to kerala - advice for young traveller

young person travelling alone - already been done over in Chennai and feeling a bit vulnerable - wants to get to kerala. Any advice on travel arrangements and accom?

Kochi is good! If u want some good place check out kuzhuppily resort( spell not sure) it is about 3 hrs drive from kochi airport. You could have good time there. It is rather cheap and the place is very calm.

Its gonna take 2 nights to be precise! U start on day 1st evening or night, day 2 in train and day 3 by around 10:00/11:00 am to the destination.

The trains are not so much on time

NDLS( Delhi cantonment)

Stick to train and AC compartments... In accommodation, choose decent hotels of repute... And, last of all, don't show yourselves vulnerable, a confident and "I take no non sense" look helps...

thanks so much for your help - I wonder if you would know how he could find other young travellers in Chennai - he's jsut arrived in India after spending time in Vietnam - feeling a bit disenchanted and bit lonely. (a bit travel early to I imagine)

but he can get into places to keep him occupied all the time.there are numerous places one can visit in chennai!
