kerala tour itinerary suggestions

We are planning to visit kerala in november, 2013

and our itinerary looks like this

Wed 06.11.2013 Arrival at Cochin 16.00Hrs via train

Thur 07.11.2013 Cochin (Planning guruvayur & cochin in the afternoon)

Fri 08.11.2013 To Munnar

Sat 09.11.2013 At Munnar

Sun 10.11.2013 To Thekkady

Mon 11.11.2013 To Kumarkoan

Tue 12.11.2013 To Alleppey Houseboat

Wed 13.11.2013 To Trivendrum

Thur 14.11.2013 KANYAKUMARI & BACK

Fri 15.11.2013 At Trivendrum. Leave at 16.00Hrs evening via train

I have a couple of questions

1) is it possible to visit guruvayur and return to cochin and cochin sight seeing. how long it will take for darshan

2) we are looking for good hotels @Rs 1500 to 2000 per night at these locations. Any suggestions

3) I am not able to decide between Athirapilly waterfalls (This will require one extra day at cochin) / kumarkom. is there any way we can cover both

4) What would be the cost of innova (We are 5 adults +1 kid) for the entire stay

any suggestions and feedback are welcome..

thanks in advance

1) if your train has stoppage at Kuttipuram alight there and proceed to Guruvayoor and back to kochi by taxi on 6.11.2013

If your train does not have stoppage at Kuttipuram next nearest station is Thrissur

Same day from Cochin-Guruvayoor-cochin and sightseeing not possible

2) Browse hotels sections of these locations at Tripadvisor you will get plenty with user reviews

3No need to spend two days for Kumarakom and Alleppey spend either of these two and spend remaining day at Athirampaly waterfalls (both Kumarakom and Alleppey scenic wise same )

4.It will be around Rs.2200-2400 per day

Thank you Alen_10 for the reply

My train dose not stop at Thrissur /Kuttipuram.

As per your suggestion we will drop Kumarkoan

so our new itinerary will be as follows

06/11 Arrive at cochin in the evening night at cochin

07/11 leave early morning to guruvayur/Athirampaly waterfalls and in evening back to cochin

08/11 Cochin full day

09/11 To Munnar

10/11 At Munnar

11/11 To Thekkady

12/11 To Alleppey Houseboat

13/11 To Trivendrum

14/11 To Kanyakumari & Back to Trivendrum

15/11 Half day at trivendrum / leave in the evening

I hope this is fine

I have made few more changes. We have decided to stay at Athirampaly instead of coming back to cochin

so our new itinerary is

06/11 Arrive at cochin in the evening. Night at cochin

07/11 Cochin full day

08/11 leave early morning to guruvayur/Athirampaly waterfalls. stay at Athirampaly

Rest stays the same

I hope this is fine
