Munnar

How many days are needed in Munnar. Please advise what is the best method of touring the Munnar, on my own by enquiring the next point and hiring auto and taxi, or hiring a full day car. Can I get such car service providers after reaching Munnar from the Hotel or do I need to prebook. If yes, please advise such companies. I am travelling next week.

Spending 2 days in Munnar would be sufficient. However you'll need one more day if you'd like to visit Chinnar wildlife sanctuary & Marayur. The best way to tour Munnar is to have a cab/taxi for the whole day as it tends to be the most convinient means because the attractions are in three different directions. You can book them once you reach Munnar& they can also be arranged by the hotel wherein you'll be staying.

Hi

There are few good cab providers in Munnar. It is suggested to hire a cab for your sightseeing. Mr Dinesh of Anna Tours near to Saravana Hotel is a good option. Have used their service many times. If you have 3 days with you, all the places around Munnar can be covered. You can check with the hotel reception as well for reliable cab providers.

Dear,

You can cover the entire Munnar within two days easily. It is always better to book taxis from trusted sources like www.keralatravelonline.com or any other operators near cochin International airport( from inside the airport prepaid taxi counter).

If you are a solo traveller, taxi is not at all necessary in Munnar.

From Cochin, Please take a private bus to the town named Alwaye ( But if you are coming from Cochin airport, you may go directly to Munnar through Kothamangalam http://goo.gl/maps/gWvLS ) and take a private bus to Kothamangalam. You will get a plenty of local buses to Munnar and the same way you may come back to Cochin.
