Never been to Kerala - going with 4 year old son and husband

Hi guys,

we are planning on visiting Kerela in Feb2014 for approximately 5-6 days. We have 4 year old son and just want to get a nice resort where we can relax and enjoy and also take our son to visit fun things maybe (Elephant rides, boat rides, kids friendly activities)

any suggestion on which part of Kerala to stay and what to do?

got recommended to stay at Taj Vivanta resorts...

Hi

Try Wayanad, a tourist destination in north Kerala, 275 Km from Cochin. You can enjoy nature, wildlife, spice, hill station and many in wayand.

03 night in waynad,

01 Night in Cochin

01 Night in Kumarakom / Alleppey, backwater destination

Hi,

February is one of the best time to visit Kerala. You can cover Cochin, Munnar, Allepey in 4- 5 days.

You will get nice and wonderful resorts in almost all destinations. Since you are having a kid with you, we would recommend you to make the travel less hectic.

Vivanta by Taj is always a recommendable option, but still I would like you to consider other family friendly resorts too. Happy to give you more suggestion on it once you finalize the dates.

Cheers,

Arun

Hi Ripal,

You can go to Kochi- Munnar - Thekkday - Allepey - Kochi.

In kochi there is india largest shopping mall LuLu Mall with fun and entertianment zone for kids.

Munnar has Eravikulam National Park and Tea Gardens and musuem. Rose garden, Echo point, photo point etc are other destinations.

Thekkady is place for enjoying boat ride at Periyar Forest Reserve, Katha Kali and Kerilian Marshal Art Shows are also good there. Elephant ride and magic show are other things that your son will like.

Allepey is place for relaxing in House Boat and enjoying scenic beauty of kerala.

For staying there are many good resorts at all these places.

Have a nice trip.

Cheers.
