Our suggestion is to not to go for more than 2 days max in Kumarakom, as you might not find activities to fill in more than 2 days. Rather split between Alleppey or Cohin or Athirapilly or Cherai

Hi,

August is not bad for tour.however you can expect rain in this time.you can stay 2 night in resort in kumarakom.if you want sight seeing in kumarakom, you may visit kumarakom bird santuary, bay drift museum, aruvikuzhy falls, couple of temple etc.one night can be spend in a houseboat either in kumarakom or alapuzha.it will be better and recommended to go in a luxury house boat if you are planning an over night stay.if you dont want overnight stay, you may opt for deluxe house boat.i also recommend to do a canoe ride, its very cheap and will be very enjoyable and a different experiance. The remaining night can be spend in cochin with a half day sight seeings there.

Enjoy your trip

Hello Gautam,

you can stay at Kumarakom for 2 nights and if you like a beach , check out the stay options at Marari beach. this is 45 minutes drive from Kumarakom.

Hi,

If you are looking for a rejuvenating tour, spending time at your own pace, Kumarakom is a good choice. Its a beautiful place and any nature lover would love being there for as many days as one can. Taj is good. Zuri Resort is also a great property with a very good Spa.

Hi Gautam,

As said in the previous posts, I too suggest that continuous 4 days at Kumarakom will be not worth enough. Kumarakom sightseeing can be covered in 2 days. Also for your perusal, Kumarakom Lake Resort is an excellent accommodation having good reviews in TA.

Cheers,

Arun
