The Rough Guide November 2010 version suggests the following -
"By far the best option for wildlife-viewing form the lake is to sign up for one of the Forest Departments’s excellent bamboo rafting trips, which start with a short hike from the boat jetty ar 8 a.m. and return at 5 p.m., with a minimum of 3 hours spent on the water. The rafts carry 4 to 5 people and can approach the lakeshore in silence allowing you to get closer to grazing animals and birds. Tickets cost Rs1000 and may be booked in advance from the Eco-Tourism centre. They sell out fast."
Does anyone know if these trips still exist and whether it is possible to buy the tickets in advance at the Eco-Tourism centre?
Has anyone been on one of these trips and what was it like?
