Kumily is the nearest town to Thekkady. It is a small town. A larger town with rail connectivity would be Kottayam. The nearest airport is Cochin.

It would be most convenient to hire a cab to Munnar. If you want plan a complete tour, specify the time and date of arrival and departure and your preferences.

Hello friend,

If you need a bus facility you can chose Kumily as a nearset city. If you need a Railway and Airport facility you can chose Kottayam and Cochin. Better to get car and visit throughout the cities and places as per your wish.

Have a happy journey!

Hi Jithu,

Alighting at Aluva railway station or Cochin airport will be fine. From there, you can take a cab to Munnar & from there to Thekkady. You can retain the cab for sightseeing also.
