Hi,

I am planning a trip to Kerala in Trivandrum but am debating whether to go late September or early November. Does anyone know what the weather will be like please? Which is the best time to go?

Thanks,

Late september would be fine. Rain would be over. Clean, green and still you could avai the off season prices from top class hotels.

Hi Samantha,

Both are pleasant times to travel to Kerala. However, following could be some decision points for you,

1. September might have some tail-end rains, which can spoil your vacation, if it's heavily travel oriented/sightseeing oriented. November will witness nil rain/very less rain

2. Prices in September would be almost half of the prices in November

3. Chances of getting rooms in good hotels are higher in September than in November

4. The season crowd will appear in November, compromising on service levels at lower range hotels

5. Flights, trains and buses to tourist destinations would be packed - leaving you with lesser flexibility in planning a great vacation
