Hi,

My vote goes to.........................Pink Aana. But it all depends on what standard of accommodation you are looking for.

You can read about our time, food, prices, activities and links to photos on my LONG trip report from 2009.

hi

we have just arrived back from kerala where we stayed in varkala at mother palace north cliff, it was very clean and comfortable reasonable price stanley there could't have been more helpful and we ended up staying longer than planned, email crystalshades@yahoo.co.uk.

it depends what your after but we walked along to odayam and it was very quiet there and not much beach, varkala at this time of year is still fairly quiet and theres alot more choice in resturants and a better beach,

if your going anywhere near alappuzha and want a fantastic deserted beach that you can walk along for miles then head to mararikulam just north of alappuzha,

hope this is of help happy travels

Great location and away from the noise and crowds of Varkala and North Cliff. Mainly fishermen, boats and Eagles.

Lots of accomadation to chose from.

Being December 20th accomodation was scarce and at a premium.

Stayed at Om-India-Om. Not a bad location, 5 minutes down a path to the beach. Room was ok with its own balcony and reasonable facilities. While mosquito nets were suppleid lack of insect screens at the windows meant it wasn't advisable to leave them open as there were mosquitos about.

This results in seriously bad room ventilation and air circulation which in our case gave us several very poor nights sleep, waking very heavy every morning. The garden is quite enclosed and ok but not much of a view.

Walk a few meters on the track and the air is much clearer and fresher.

Given a choice I think there is better accomadation available.
