Rajasthan fog in February

We must book our flights Canada to India soon. We were hoping to travel through Rajasthan, including Varanassi in Feb. 2013, but are worried about fog delays on internal flights and trains. Guide books and some reports say Feb. is a great month to travel, while others warn against it. We aren't concerned with colder morning temperatures, just with wasting precious holiday days/hours stuck in airports or train stations. We will travel independently, booking a week or so of the holiday in advance. If you have traveled in Feb., please reply with your experiences. Thanks.

delayed flight and train is generally in last week of December or first week of January. so far February is good month to travel.

Rajasthan is never highly effected from Fog. Delhi and Agra connection might be effect.

Hi Shirley,

There is no doubt November & Feb. are the best months to travel in India. Mostly fogs are noticed in late December and early January not in February but last year there was fog in 01st week of Feb too specially in Delhi & Varanasi.

It is very rare... fog in Feb.

Lukasz,

Jaisalmer , Jodhpur , Udaipur are not fog effected part of North India . Fog is Basically in highly pollution area of North India .

if flight to Mumbai comes from Delhi

There are some chance to be delayed due to fog in Delhi. Otherwise there is no Fog in udaipur
