8 week trip

We re planning a trip of 8 weeks or so to north India next spring. Is that too long to spend in Rajastan alone? Does anyone have any advice about a good itinerary for a relaxed and leisurly trip - it doesn't have to be just Rajastan.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi

For rajasthan 8 weeks too much. At least you can spend 3-4 weeks in rajasthan and Delhi and agra. After that maybe you should go Gwalior - orcha - khajuraho - varanasi and after this part try to amritsar and patyala - chandigarh. Try to explore Goa and kerala too.

Thanks

Hi Bahram

You should consider covering all of North India in 8 weeks as follows-

3 weeks covering Delhi, Rajasthan and ending in Agra. Continue for a week to cover Gwalior, Orchha, Khajuraho, Varanasi. You can continue to Kolkata, Darjeeling and Sikkim for four weeks. Or Return to Delhi and continue to Amritsar and Himachal for 4 weeks.

If you want to combine North & South India, then you can fly from Varanasi to Mumbai and continue to Kerala / Tamil Nadu for 4 weeks.

Have a great trip!

2 weeks are more than enough for Rajasthan alone. You can allocate rest for North & East.

Two weeks are enough for visiting rajasthan and in other 6 weeks you can visit the other north Indian places which can include Dehli. Agra , Gwalior, Bhopal, Orcha , Mandu, Khjuraho, Varanasi. Darjeeling , Sikkim and Kolkatta.
