Navratri in Jaisalmer

Hello! I visited Rajasthan in February but, due to time restraints, I was unable to visit Jaisalmer. While I was surfing the web, I read that at the end of September there should be a Navratri festival. I would like to visit Jaisalmer and to take part in that festival in Jaisalmer. Can somebody please tell me precisely when the festival will take place? Thank you for the information.

Navratri is celebrated at its best in Gujrat and not in Rajasthan, as it is a Gujrati festival. But you can anyway visit it anywhere in India. Navratri is a 9 day festival and is celebrated all over the country in honour of goddess Durga. More Info: …about.com/od/…navaratri.htm

Hi,

It is a festival for 9 days, a lot of people keep fasting for these days. You will find people celebrating it everywhere but not in big manner. In Gujrat, it's big.

Thanks
