Tour agencies, drivers or hotel mangers can be asked to get the permission rather than wasting time for it.

It takes around Rs 700-750 approx. for a day trip to Nathula Pass including visit to Tsomgo Lake, New Baba Mandir on shared basis. One can request the driver to take the vehicle up to Tookla Valley beyond Baba Mandir.

An exclusive car (Sumo/Bolero/Mahindra jeep) would take around Rs 7000 approx.

I guess Nathula is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Experts here can confirm it.

Generaly they go with 8 pax.If you are with family of more than 4 pax then you should go with exclusive vehicle. After 6-7 am,taxi (sumo/balero)are not allowed inside gangtok town.so if you are staying near mg marg/tibbet road then you have to reach taxi stand .

Hi Abhijeet_faridabad

Its 10 person into a bolero or max. The cost for exclusive bolero/max is 7K and innova/xylo would be 9K. If you are on the sharing part reach the taxi stand early and bargain for the front seats and the middle. Avoid the last one.
