Election eve taxi back to Delhi

Hi

I will be travelling back after visiting the Taj Mahal to Delhi on 15th May. This being the evening before election counting will there be any problems ? We will be only two female travelers in a taxi. We will be starting at 6pm from agra aiming to reach delhi by 10,30pm. Will be taking the yamuna expressway. Is it generally safe to come back to delhi at night ? Thanks for the help

Hi !

There should be no concerns on travelling on 15th ... and 16th for that matter.

Only areas where counting takes place will be cordoned off.

Have a good trip.

Obviously, Delhi-NCR in night is not safe in general..everyone knows that.

But if you are concern about being a counting day, then you should not worry about it. They will not let general public suffer from counting. Anyway, Delhi-NCR is not that much unsafe in night for women as it is being showed to the rest of the world. Just need to be a bit more cautious about your surroundings, that's all.

Happy Journey!!!

I don't agree with statement in above post "Delhi-NCR in night is not safe in general"

You can travel on counting day and there will not be any restrictions.

Don't Worry on election counting day.

If you can travel through New yamuna Expressway it takes Max 3 hours to reach Delhi.

deepakAgraIndia: Don't agree. It's your right.

I have said that based on my own experience. But at the same time, I also said It's not that much unsafe as it is showed off these days. You just need to be a bit more cautious. And that is true for any city/country for the matter of fact.
