ubud or munduk

Anyone help me. I have 5 days/4 nights in Bali after a 2 week trip to Lombok. Need some pampering, good food and chill out time. Is it better to do 4 days in Ubud and hire cars to explore places like Munduk etc or are we better at staying in Munduk, so 2 nights in Ubud and 2 nights in Munduk? Is the scenery similar in both places.

Ubud is a large town, with loads of restaurants and heaps going on.

Munduk is a country village with a very limited number of places to eat and almost no entertainment.

If you want pampering and good food, it should be easier to organise in Ubud

as said above but munduk is on the less stayed road so it is a different experience to ubud.

it will be better for you to stay in ubud and explore more area outside ubud by doing day tours. ubud is just right in the center of Bali so it is easy for you to go just anywhere else around Bali.

Pampering and good food= Ubud. Although it's a town, many of the hotels have great gardens and grounds and you can chill out as well as buzz around. There are many places just on the outskirts as well..

Though I'd love to spend some days in Munduk too. Perhaps spend a night there...at the end of a trip through the lovely Botanical Gardens and lakes area, rather than having to come back into town. Best of both worlds.
