Look at any of the Alam properties as they are excellent value for money, very close to Ubud Central, but in a quiet village. The deal breaker for you may be no TV though. We stayed with kids here, and they were not bothered, we just took our laptop and bought a few DVD's. They also have Wifi in the rooms.

Have a look at Biyukukung Suite & Spa www.biyukukung.com we have just booked for April next year. It is closer to the centre of Ubud than Tegal Sari and overlooks a rice field.
