We are an energetic couple in our 60"s and would rather stay in a bungalow and not a hotel. Looking at Troika Beach area.

Can anyone recommend a place there and about how much a taxi would be to get there. We are possibly arriving at the island at 9.30/!0pm. Or would we be better to stay near ferry terminal 1 night and travel to beach area the next day and stay for 2 nights as planned.

Thankyou for your feedback. Can you give me an idea of taxi cost from ferry terminal to Trikora beach area.

I would still prefer a bungalow and preferably with aircon if anyone has ideas please.

around 70 Singapore dollars two-way

can be less, depending on your negotiating skills

... and the quality of the vehicle & driver

aircon is hardly needed during the monsoon season, from Dec. till March

Trikora is on Bintan's east coast, and as such it gets great monsoon winds

you can sleep with open windows, or even outside in a hammock...

cheers
