Don't think guide books for this part of the world are updated very often.
For Flores, I can suggest floreskomodo.com which was an effort put together by AusAid and SwissContact. That also includes West Flores as well.
I heard AusAid is also considering a similar effort to assist Central and East Flores as well.
There is also gokomodo.org which is the site of the operator of Komodo National Park.
Sorry, don't know much about Sumba - believe it is mostly a surfing destination. Perhaps some of the surf sites and guides have more info.
Thanks Yamanote. I have checked out the site and its a wealth of information.
Any ideas which are the 'must see' parts of Flores? We enjoy different cultural experiences and walking-as opposed to serious 8 hour trekking and snorkling and swimming as opposed to diving.
Any further suggestions welcome!
'indo surf and lingo' has some info on sumba.
i was there april this year so my blog links may be of help. it is a very pretty place, very quiet, nice locals and very few tourists and so tourist facilities.
