Fairs in the Albany Area

Hi

We will be in the Albany area from 8/28-9/10... with my 10 year old grandson. Looking for some activities such as Fairs ect.. We are willing to travel an hour or two if worth it. Any suggestions.. Thanks

Looks like a couple.

There are tons of kid friendly things to do in that area. They like the different Fort- Fort Edwards is not far. You can review lots of posts on Lake George. I would also suggest the the Great Sacandaga Lake for some different landscape.

Labor Day weekend is the Final Stretch Festival in Saratoga with lots of free live music downtown. Have fun!

It looks like there will be a couple of fairs still on that late in the season, the last day for one. Other things to consider are The Great Escape in Lk. George, The State Museum, and the many apple orchards in the atre. There are also many nice lakes and parks such as Grafton. The pumpkin patch (pumpkins and animals) in Scoharie may be open by then.
