2 days in Arusha?

Hi all,

I'm also cross posting on the moshi board.

I will be in Tanzania for two days only and am looking for some ideas if what to do given my limited time.

I arrive at 3:20 am at JRO on a Monday and leave around 5 pm on Wednesday.

Open to all ideas.

Thanks!!

Well 2 days in arusha is just about enough to glimpse around tarangire, arusha national park, and also get a half day trip around arusha town. Theres technically not much to see in the town centre, except for the markets that you can get very cool souvenir at great bargain prices. Enjoy your stay

Richard's suggestion, while technically feasible, sounds like something out of The Great Race or somesuch... you could indeed get to those places in you short time window... but it would be an expensive exercise in "how fast can I drive in Tanzania."

Not sure what month, which might affect the advice you get. I'd be tempted to do just Tarangire... have the TO pick you up, drive to Tarangire, game drives for two days... Wed you would have to head back to the airport by about noon.

More money, less game drive time, but seeing one of Africa's wonders... Monday, drive to Ngorongoro crater, do crater game drive until dark. spend Tuesday and Wed morning at Tarangire.
