Have a look here for info on golf in the Khao Lak area khaolaklovers.com/Golf-in-the-Khao-Lak-Area.…

The course at Tab Lamu, which is within the Navy base is nearest, about 15 minutes by taxi from centre of Khao Lak. Don't know about special deal days though.

Adjacent to the course at Tab Lamu is the Turtle Conservation Centre run by the Thai Royal Marines which could keep the family or others occupied while you are playing.

It is probably going to be a couple years before everything is done, but golf in the area will be upgraded significantly.

The golf course at Thai Muang (maybe 30 minutes south of Khao Lak) is closed right now but is being completely redone as a marina, condos, villas and super golf course. It sit right on the sea in a truly beautiful setting.

Right near the three way junction (Khao Lak/Phang Nga/Phuket) which is only about 5-6 kilometers north of the bridge to Phuket - a new golf course is under construction. The area will be quite upscale eventually, so we can guess the golf course will be quite nice as well. (the Khok Kloy/Natai Beach area is reputed to have the most expensive home in Thailand and the beach area is primarily multi-million dollar houses).
