Dr Chusak

Hi all,

We have just returned from another fabulous holiday in Cambodia and Thailand and whilst we were in beautiful Khao Lak our 5 year old came down with Croup. We were staying at the JW Marriott and went to see the nurse there, but she was unable to give him any medication and advised us that to call out the DR it would cost 4000THB plus medication. As he was Ok and we were keeping a constant eye on him we decided to go and see Dr Chusak in Bang La on as we would go into town for dinner every night anyway.

We were so glad we did....he is soooooo lovely. He checked Noah over and confirmed that yes he was suffering from Croup. He prescribed Steroids (although in Thailand they only have tablets, no mixture like here in Aus) so that was fun getting tablets into a 5 year old!!! He also prescribed an antihistamine (for the runny nose) and a cough mixture. He is really a gentle caring fellow and I would highly recommend him to all!

All up we were charged 900 baht for this service, so we were very pleased.

Noah recovered very quickly and we are now back in freezing Melbourne and just dreaming of our next adventure!

Dr. Chusak is a child specialist, so in very good hands there. His wife is surgical nurse there.
