Returning to Hua HIn - Marriot

We have booked to return on 5/6/09 for 13N. Wondering what the weather is likely to be? Also have read recommendation for Madam Greens restaurant - how does one get there from the Marriot?Previous visits to Hua Hin have included lots of local food & daily massages any recommendation regarding these would be appreciated.

June should be fine, it has been very dry this year with just a short rain show for about 30 minutes a week ago during 2 weeks here, June should be nice sunny weather.

Madame Green is at the beach in Khao Takiab Village past Hyatt and past Wora Bura and The Rock.

Do appreciate it is very 'simple' but the seafood tastes great, only soft drinks and beer served. Take your own liquor if you want. Have a look on the restaurant post.

You can just point to menu items.

Most dishes are B 100-150.

If you decide to try during daylight you can walk outside Marriott to the road and look for the lime green songthaews and just wave it down, climb in the back, watch for chiva Som and Hyatt on your left, the grand entrance to Wora Bura a little further, the The Rock and then group of shops both side the 7-11, best to hop out there ( ring the bell ) and walk down. On return walk to main road and do same the other way - the songthaew service is only daylight and you just hand the driver ( they usually have someone in the front with them ) the 10 bat per person.

Note you can also use this going to and from the marjet / center of hua hin, daytime no need to take a tuk-tuk, just get across the main road to the other side and wave down the songthaew, again, you can use back to marriott, the fare on all sectors is a flat 10 baht per person. Easy.

The service south from Marriott goes all the way down to Khao Takiab.

Noops this is so weird cos we are also thinking about returning to Hua Hin on 5th June and we met in the Marriott when we were last there. There is a chance that we will go to Pattaya for a few days but it'll depend on the missus. It would be good to meet up for a drink if it comes off. We were only looking for a cheapo as we are going to Toronto for a week in Sept but there are some really great deals in June with Emirates and we figure that if we go to Europe it will work out costing more so hopefully we'll be there.
