Protest march in Bangkok

Does anyone know if the protests in Bangkok will get bigger or maybe affect the airport.

Also we are worried about the safety on our trip to Hua Hin.

There are no problems at all in Hua Hin nor likely to be whilst the king is in residence in the town nor probably if he wasn't here either.

As for the airport, the buses are running as normal between here and there and have passengers on them so obviously no problems there either. Nothing for you to worry about.

The army are moving troops to Hua Hin. Its both for a ceremonial parade for the kings birthday and to ensure total safety.

The chances of any problems in Hua Hin are tiny.

There are very few problems in Bangkok.

Apparently some protesters put spikes on the highway near Hua Hin and about 100 vehicles (buses, minivans, cars) punctured their tires driving over them because it was dark and they ended up stranded on the road for a while. Other than that haven't heard about anything else in Hua Hin area. See the news link: thaivisa.com/forum/…

Help me out here........The protesters put spikes on the highway???? I am confused as to what they are protesting when these actions occur. I thought they are protesting the government, if so, what do these hooligan actions represent when anyone driving on the highway will be affected.....locals, tourists etc.,. I just don't get what message they are trying to get out by doing this.

Somebody put spikes on the road to try and stop anti-government protesters from the south getting to Bangkok.
